How to Enter the Competition

The Tower Poetry competition is one of the most lucrative poetry competitions for its age group, 16-18, with £5000 in prize money – and no entry fee!

The requirements are that you must be in full- or part-time education in a UK school, be between 16-18 years old, and write a poem of no more than 48 lines on the theme ‘Underwater’. Before submitting a poem to the competition – or even before writing – it might be helpful to take a look at this document the Tower Poetry Student, Professor Peter McDonald, has written which answers some common questions about writing a poem for the competition.

The best way to enter the Tower Poetry competition is via this website, filling out the form here.

Closing date for entries is 1 March 2019.
