Poetry reading – Helen Mort and Frances Leviston

In the evening of the 2015 prizegiving on 20 April, Helen Mort and Frances Leviston gave a well-attended poetry reading at the Crown in Woodstock (in association with the Woodstock Bookshop).  Helen Mort’s first collection, Division Street, won the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize in 2014 and was shortlisted for the Costa Prize and the T S Eliot Prize. She is the Douglas Caster Cultural Fellow at the University of Leeds and was one of the judges for the 2015 Tower Poetry competition. She read with Frances Leviston, one of the 2011 judges and who taught at the Tower Poetry Summer School (2008 and 2009). Her second collection Disinformation has just been published. Her first poetry collection, Public Dreams, was published by Picador in 2007 and shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize, the Forward Prize for best first collection and the Jerwood-Aldeburgh First Collection Prize.
