Steve McGregor served fourteen months in Yusufiya, Iraq with the Rakkasans. He now studies History at Peterhouse, University of Cambridge and is no longer in the army. This selection is part of a larger collection of poems about his time in Iraq.
He has also written for Areté and The Spectator. He was shortlisted for the Shiva Naipaul Memorial Prize in 2012 and 2013.
