The Christopher Tower Poetry Prizes 2004 :: Early Morning

Katherine Hindley of South Hampstead High School, London, is the winner of this year's Christopher Tower poetry competition with her poem Sunrise in Egypt. Katherine wins a cheque for £1500, while the second and third prize-winners, Nancy Freeman from London and Laura Tisdall from Bradfield-on-Avon, each win £750 and £500 respectively.  The runners-up were Caroline Bird, Joanna Moorman, and Helen Mort.

The theme of this year's competition was "Early Morning". The judges were Frank Ormsby, Jon Stallworthy and Peter McDonald.
